Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. In the TV and film industry, she is known for her many awards and nominations. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Born and raised at home in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister and their mother moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. The father of the family had separated from their mom. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was in high school, and realised that it was acting she wanted to do. In 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She also received a degree from The Yale School of Drama. She was married in 1997. was married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1980. Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
